The Grex GC1850 Cordless 2” 18 gauge brad nailer is designed primarily to be a finish nailer for trim and molding applications and will provide more than enough power for these typical applications. At its upper most limit, this tool will drive and set 2” 18 gauge brad nails through a 2” thick piece of solid red oak. But if your application heavily requires driving 2” nails through 2” thick hardwoods, the tool may occasionally not fully set the nails.
